New Driving Safety initiative

CLAYSVILLE, PA -- Every summer, police are out in force, looking for drivers who are under the influence, impaired, speeding or just not wearing safety belts.

But Project TACT recognizes there is another kind of behavior just as deadly.

TACT stands for Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks.

This could range from the driver of a compact car to a tractor trailer

Drivers can be preoccupied with radio, cd, mp3 players, cell phone or just not paying attention suffering from drowsiness. There are so many reason while drivers are distracted from watching the road. It is known world wide that a fraction of a second in reaction time can mean the difference between damage and safety or even life and death.

The news articles are no strangers to reporting car accidents with dear friends being severely injured or worse.

Now these laws are being put in place to help prevent accidents from happening.

The local police also hope that better driving habits will be built up from the beginning with the newer drivers and last their whole life long.
